Bain New York responds to Hurricane Sandy

The New York and New Jersey areas are still recovering from the impacts of Hurricane Sandy that rocked the region just over a week ago. In the past week, many members of Bain’s New York office opened their doors to displaced-downtown Bainies, volunteered for clean-ups, and provided monetary support for relief of Hurricane Sandy. However, as NYC returns to normal, many are still feeling, and will continue to feel, the impacts of Sandy.

To support those most impacted by the storm, the New York office is re-orienting its annual Bain Cares giving campaign to support those affected by the storm. The campaign is partnering with the United Way Sandy Recovery Fund as a way to re-direct our focus to hurricane relief given the immediate and pressing need. In addition, several Associate Consultants took the initiative to organize a Bain Cares Item Drive to collect food, bottled water, and critical toiletry items to be distributed to FoodBank NYC to fill an immediate, short-term need.

The energy around helping those in need during this tough time in our community is truly inspiring!
